Tax Officer

Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Tax Officer to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and processing of tax-related documents, tax filings, and other compliance requirements while ensuring that the company remains compliant with applicable tax laws and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, process, and file tax returns and other tax-related documents accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with BIR regulations and other government tax requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.
• Maintain accurate records of tax filings, payments, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other government agencies regarding tax-related matters.
• Assist during tax audits, assessments, and government inspections by preparing the necessary documentation.
• Monitor updates to tax laws and regulations and ensure timely implementation of changes.
• Reconcile tax accounts and assist in resolving tax discrepancies.
• Support the Finance and Accounting team with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other tax and accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or any related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required.
• At least 2 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience in preparing and filing various tax returns is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willing to work Monday to Saturday.
• Willing to work in Mandaue City, Cebu.
