Job Summary:
The CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems and related security equipment. This role ensures all surveillance systems operate efficiently to support safety and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and related equipment
- Perform cabling works including routing, termination, and labeling (UTP, coaxial, fiber if applicable)
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty CCTV systems and network issues
- Configure remote viewing, mobile access, and network integration
- Ensure proper camera positioning, coverage, and image quality
- Coordinate with clients regarding installation requirements and system concerns
- Prepare installation reports, service reports, and documentation
- Follow safety procedures and company standards during installations
- Assist in other auxiliary systems (e.g., access control, alarms) when needed
