Supply Chain Manager
A Supply Chain Manager is responsible for ensuring a business can efficiently source raw materials, manufacture products, store inventory and transport shipments to consumers or wholesalers. Their duties include analyzing logistics data to refine the supply chain, negotiating business relationships and communicating with suppliers and distributors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations, create supply and production plans, and forecast demand to meet customer needs.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, build relationships, and manage procurement processes.
- Oversee inventory levels, manage storage and warehousing, and plan transportation and distribution of goods.
- Supervise production processes, conduct quality assurance on products and packaging, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Analyze data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage budgets for supply chain activities and lead and train staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience, particularly in cold chain in food industry, specifically handling fleet based distribution and temperature-sensitive goods.
