Business and Systems Analyst

Job Description

The System Analyst also participates in system testing, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business and Requirements Analysis:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to understand business needs and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Review and validate requirements with stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy.

System Design and Documentation:

• Develop system specifications, process flows, use cases, and data flow diagrams.
• Create and maintain functional requirement documents (FRD), business requirement documents (BRD), and system design documents.
• Recommend system enhancements and process improvements.
• Ensure solutions align with business goals and technical standards.

Project Support:

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA teams, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and risk assessment activities.
• Monitor project progress and assist in resolving requirement-related issues.

Implementation and Support:

• Assist in system deployment and implementation activities.
• Conduct user training and prepare user manuals and system documentation.
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot system issues.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.

Job Specifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experiences:

• 2–5 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or related role.
• Experience working with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project environments.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of business process analysis and system design.
• Experience creating BRD, FRD, SRS, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL queries.
• Understanding of API integrations, web applications, and enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of UML, BPMN, and other modeling techniques.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, ECBA) or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or enterprise application development.
• Knowledge of cloud-based systems and microservices architecture.
