JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of our Sales Department, ensuring the effective execution of sales strategies and directives set by the Executive Management Team. This role is responsible for driving sales performance across all active channels (concession, outright, and wholesale), managing key accounts, and overseeing store operations and inventory health.

The Sales Director will work closely with internal departments to ensure operational alignment, policy compliance, and overall sales growth across Visayas and Mindanao.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Item Performance
  • Execute sales strategies, programs, and campaigns set by Executive Management across all active sales channels.
  • Monitor sales data and trends across all channels. Identify strong- and poor-performing items and use these insights to propose promotions or sales campaigns for management approval.
  • Monitor and report sales against target by channel, region, and store.
  • Ensure sales teams are aligned with channel strategies and are driving execution on the ground.
  • Develop recommendations to improve sales efficiency and push initiatives in underperforming areas (e.g. promos, bundles, push items).
  • Scout and propose new business development opportunities especially in underpenetrated provincial regions.
  1. Inventory Management
  • Regularly monitor available inventory in the warehouse to ensure items are maintained at ideal stock levels.
  • Recommend adjustments to ideal levels based on updated sales trends or product lifecycle.
  • Identify slow-moving items and suggest appropriate strategies to address them.
  • Coordinate with production to prioritize the manufacturing of fast-moving SKUs.
  1. Department Store - Concession Channel Oversight
  • Supervise the Concession Supervisor and Area Sales Coordinators in managing daily operations.
  • Ensure Promodisers are deployed, trained, and performing according to standards.
  • Monitor compliance with display guidelines (Planogram) and conduct regular audits to ensure proper execution and identify gaps in implementation.
  • Inventory Levels - Ensure all items are consistently maintained at ideal stock levels. Promptly identify and address any stores or personnel exhibiting negligence in stock monitoring or replenishment requests.
  • Replenishment - Enforce strict adherence to the company's replenishment procedures among all Promodisers. Proactively monitor compliance and take corrective action with stores or individuals who fail to follow established protocols.
  • Coordinate store repairs and visual merchandising improvements.
  • Represent the company in store-level meetings and escalate concerns to management.
  • Ensure contract terms and department store policies are properly followed.
  • Verify correct implementation of marketing materials and pricing
  1. Department Store - Outright Channel Oversight
  • Lead the Sales Agents in fulfilling account requirements and ensuring POs are delivered on time.
  • Maintain healthy customer relationships through regular communication and store visits.
  • Support promotional rollouts as directed by Marketing.
  • Ensure product visibility and store compliance through field monitoring.
  1. Wholesalers and Distributors - Metro Manila
  • Manage relationships and sales execution with Metro Manila wholesale accounts.
  • Ensure that accounts are aware of fast-moving and new items.
  • Work closely with coordinators to ensure timely fulfillment, pricing, and promotional compliance.
  • Visit key accounts regularly to build stronger partnerships and improve in-store execution.
  1. Order Processing
  • Supervise the Sales Administrator and Order Processing Supervisor in ensuring timely and accurate encoding of all incoming orders.
  • Enforce the 3-day processing parameter from the time orders are received. Proactively identify and address potential delays.
  • Ensure all information entered in the system is accurate, including customer information, delivery dates, pricing, and discounting.
  • Flag and resolve unfulfilled or partially fulfilled orders by coordinating with Inventory Management to address stock availability issues.
  • Monitor and minimize order revisions or cancellations by ensuring clear communication between sales, inventory, and customers.
  • Review and analyze order processing trends to identify recurring issues or bottlenecks and recommend long-term solutions.
  1. Competitor Monitoring
  • Conduct regular checks of competitor pricing. promotions, and market presence.
  • Provide reports on competitor performance and recommend strategies to protect or grow market share.
  • Identify new competitive threats and communicate these findings to Executive Management.
  1. Account Risk and Collections
  • Support in identifying at-risk accounts and assist in implementing solutions to protect receivables.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting Department and Area Coordinators to follow up on collections.
  • Recommend customer terms revisions or credit holds as needed
  1. Sales Operations and Interdepartmental Coordination
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Production, Demand Planning, and Accounting to align sales strategies, inventory levels, and campaign execution.
  • Monitor warehouse stocks and product movement to support production priorities and address slow-moving items.
  • Ensure clear communication between field teams and Head Office, escalating critical operational issues to Executive Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Progressive sales experience in the apparel/garment industry.
  • Proven experience in managing dealership and concession-based sales models.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of retail and wholesale distribution channels in the garment sector.
  • Experience in both domestic and export markets is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
