Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials, equipment, and services required for ongoing projects and operations
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices, terms, and delivery schedules
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring timely availability of necessary materials and supplies
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including invoices, purchase orders, and contracts
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to identify and address procurement needs
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to optimise purchasing decisions
- Implement and maintain efficient purchasing processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the Construction industry
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships
- Proficient in inventory management, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, policies, and best practices related to purchasing and procurement
- Proficiency in using relevant procurement software and tools
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently to achieve goals
