An Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial processes. This role plays a key part in budgeting, auditing, and strategic financial planning.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily accounting operations (accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, payroll)
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements
Supervise and mentor accounting officer/ assistant / staff.
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances
Develop and manage budgets and forecasts
Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with tax regulations
Improve accounting systems, processes, and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification (preferred)
5+ years of accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory roles
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
