Accounting Manager

About the role

In this full-time position, you will be based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organisation.

1. Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
2. Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
3. Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard the company's assets
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making
5. Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance the overall efficiency of the accounting department
7. Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
2. At least 5 years of experience in a similar accounting management role, preferably within the education or financial services industry
3. Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles, standards, and best practices
4. Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial analysis tools
5. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address financial issues
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
7. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
8. CPA certification is a plus
