Job Summary: We're looking for a skilled Finance & Accounting VA with strong QuickBooks expertise to manage our bookkeeping and financial operations. The ideal candidate has a near-CPA level finance and accounting background, is highly proficient in Excel, and has hands-on experience with inventory management and import/export operations support.
We need a detail-oriented, dependable professional who can own the books while supporting the operational side of a growing business with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and keep accurate financial records in QuickBooks
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Prepare and organize detailed financial reports and spreadsheets in Excel
- Track and manage inventory across the business
- Support the digital and administrative side of import/export operations
- Process and input purchase orders and supplier orders
- Maintain organized digital records and ensure data accuracy across systems
- Assist with month-end and other periodic financial processes
Mandatory Skills:
- QuickBooks proficiency with proven hands-on experience (non-negotiable)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — heavy daily use expected
- Strong finance and accounting background at a near-CPA level (certification not required)
- Demonstrated inventory management experience
- Experience supporting import/export operations on the digital/admin side
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Dependable, detail-focused, and able to take ownership of tasks
- Strong communication skills and a high level of computer literacy
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in food services, restaurant, or the broader F&B industry
- Familiarity with import/export documentation and processes
- Prior experience supporting a company with 50+ employees
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once
- Experience working with growing or scaling businesses
