About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, independent, and resilient Sales Development Representative (APAC) to join the client's APAC Demand Generation team. Actively functioning as a "hunter-gatherer" in the market, you will serve as the crucial first point of contact for potential customers across key global territories in the APAC region, predominantly focusing on Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
In this autonomous role, you will be responsible for managing both inbound marketing leads and executing independent outbound lead generation (via email outreach and cold calling). You will qualify leads and book high-quality meetings, ensuring a seamless handover to the Account Executive (AE) team to drive business growth.
Work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sydney Time (with possible flexibility)

What you’ll do- Lead Management & Speed to Lead: Quickly respond to and qualify inbound marketing leads to assess their business needs and product fit.
- Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation: Independently source and drive cold outreach using a natural, unscripted approach via emails and phone calls to generate new valid opportunities.
- Discovery & Pre-Qualification: Conduct discovery calls to thoroughly understand a prospect's tech stack, challenges, organizational size, and alignment with the client's solutions.
- Pipeline Generation: Successfully book high-quality meetings for the AE team. Success is measured by the number of booked meetings that are officially accepted as valid opportunities by Account Executives.
- Seamless Handover Process: Document all gathered insights and send a detailed summary email to the assigned Account Executive, followed by scheduling the initial discovery call for them to manage.
- Reporting & Accountability: Track and manage daily/weekly activities (including call volumes and email outreach) within Salesforce, ensuring tasks are actioned on time.
Performance Targets & Ramp-Up Period
The role features a structured onboarding and ramp-up period to set you up for long-term career growth:
- Month 1: Dedicated to training and onboarding (Target: 0 to 3 accepted opportunities).
- Month 2: 5 accepted opportunities.
- Month 3 onwards: Standard ongoing performance target of 8 accepted opportunities per month.
- Experience: Prior B2B sales or inside sales experience is preferred and highly ideal.
- However, we are completely open to candidates who demonstrate strong potential, a hunger to succeed, and the right career-driven attitude even without a B2B background.
- Language Proficiency: Strictly Advanced (C1) English communication proficiency. You must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills tailored to interact naturally and effectively with stakeholders in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
- Resilience & Attitude: A highly positive, persistent approach to handling rejection. Past failures in this role stem from a lack of resilience; we are looking for individuals who view "no" as an opportunity to pivot, try alternative contacts, or follow up on a later date.
- Tools: Familiarity or proficiency with Salesforce is preferred.
- Willingness to learn is key, as training on the CRM platform and other internal sales tools will be fully provided during your ramp-up.
- Autonomy: Comfort working independently with a high degree of day-to-day autonomy and zero micromanagement
