About the role
PTC Commercial Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our growing HR department in Tondo, Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our HR operations and contributing to the development of our people strategies.As a Human Resources Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the HR team, helping to ensure smooth execution of recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance activities. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient HR processes and fostering a positive workplace culture across the organisation.
Key responsibilities- Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding of new employees
- Maintain and update employee records, personnel files, and HR databases in compliance with data protection regulations
- Process employee documentation including leave requests, benefits enrolment, and other HR-related paperwork
- Provide administrative support to the HR team including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining filing systems
- Assist with payroll coordination and ensure accurate and timely processing of employee information
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures across the organisation
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR information and guidance
- Assist with the organisation of HR events, training programmes, and employee engagement initiatives
- Support compliance activities including documentation of HR-related matters and assistance with audits
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR department
- High school diploma or equivalent; a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in an HR administrative role or similar position in a corporate environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Basic knowledge of HR functions, employment law, and workplace compliance
- Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive employee information
- Professional demeanour with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact positively with employees at all levels
- Willingness to learn and develop HR knowledge and skills
- Familiarity with HR information systems or HRIS is advantageous
