Key ResponsibilitiesClient Prospecting & Acquisition
- Actively identify and approach potential clients through calls, visits, networking, and online platforms.
- Conduct initial presentations and introductions of the company’s services.
- Build a pipeline of qualified prospects to be converted into clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with small to mid-level clients, ensuring consistent follow-ups.
- Address client inquiries, provide service information, and coordinate with the BDM for customized solutions.
- Represent the company at client meetings, trade events, and networking activities.
- Assist in closing smaller accounts independently while supporting the BDM in larger negotiations.
- Prepare quotations and basic proposals for prospective clients.
- Promote company services to existing and potential clients to increase sales.
- Stay informed on industry developments, competitor activities, and client needs.
- Share market feedback and insights with the BDM to support sales strategies.
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the team’s revenue goals.
- Maintain accurate sales records and update reports on leads, meetings, and closed deals.
- Track client satisfaction and ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Supervise branch staff, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate closely with the Manila office on operational, administrative, and sales-related matters.
- Ensure timely communication and reporting between the branch and the head office.
- Monitor branch performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Perform assigned tasks and responsibilities to the best of abilities as delegated by the Commercial Head and Country Manager.
- Comply with company instructions, policies, and ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
- Undertake additional sales-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing or any related field.Postgraduate studies (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage but not required.
Experience:At least 3–5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management, preferably in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain services.
Experience in branch or team management is a strong advantage.Demonstrated success in client acquisition, sales growth, and market expansion.
Skills & Competencies:Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and achieve revenue targets. Excellent communication and presentation skills for interacting with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Strong leadership and people management abilities to oversee branch operations and staff performance.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems for tracking sales activities and performance.
Deep understanding of logistics, transportation, and freight forwarding services is highly desirable.
Strong market research and analytical skills to identify opportunities and assess competitive trends.
