GENERAL MANAGER OF OPERATIONS

The General Manager of Operations is a senior executive role accountable for the effective management and strategic leadership of three critical divisions.
  1. Operations – overseeing bakery production, supply chain, and plant efficiency
  2. Finance– managing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and fiscal health
  3. Sales, Marketing & Business Development – driving customer acquisition, brand visibility, and growth initiatives

This role reports directly to the Company President and is responsible for aligning these divisions to achieve operational excellence,

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
  1. Collaborates with the President to define and implement corporate objectives.
  2. Translates company goals into operational and divisional strategies.
  3. Ensures alignment of all departmental activities with overall business goals

RESTAURANT & PENSION HOUSE

DIVISION OVERSIGHT & TEAM MANAGEMENT
  1. Provides direct leadership to the following Division Managers:
  • Operations Manager (Bakery Production & Supply Chain)
  • Finance Manager (Accounting, Budgeting, Compliance)
  • Sales & Marketing Manager (Customer Growth & Brand Development)
  1. Sets performance expectations and conducts regular evaluations.
  2. Promote a collaborative and accountable culture across departments.
OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
  1. Oversees daily operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and food safety compliance are met.
  2. Drives process improvements across manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics.
  3. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and implements action plans to address variances.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
  1. Oversees development of budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
  2. Reviews financial reports and offers suggestions to support decision-making.
  3. Ensures financial reporting compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
SALES, MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  1. Works with the Sales & Marketing Manager to increase market share and customer engagement.
  2. Supports new product launches and bakery line expansions.
  3. Identifies strategic partnerships and business opportunities in both B2B and retail channels.
COMPLIANCE & SAFETY
  1. Ensures all operations comply with health, safety, and food manufacturing regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
  2. Supports internal audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
HUMAN RESOURCES
  1. Fosters a culture of accountability, performance, and safety.
  2. Promotes training, career development, and employee engagement.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
  1. Represents the company in external meetings with partners, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and customers.
  2. Communicates clearly and regularly with the board, providing reports on business performance and strategy execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 1.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Food Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  2. Minimum five (5) years of corporate-level leadership experience, or at least seventeen (17) years in a managerial capacity, preferably in food production or bakery manufacturing.
  3. Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and implementing cross functional initiatives.
  4. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, supply chain logistics, and production processes.
  5. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
