General Accountant

GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

The GENERAL ACCOUNTANT manages month-end and year-end closings, ensures financial statement accuracy per PFRS and internal policies, approves invoices and billings in SAP, reconciles accounts, oversees fixed assets, handles tax filings, and supports audits and special projects as needed.

• Assist Finance Manager during month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with PFRS and compliance to internal policies.
• Checks and pre-approve vendor invoices and customer billings in SAP.
• Monitor fixed assets and lapsing schedule.
• Handle balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Review documentation for and record financial transactions.
• Monitor and record accrual of expenses and depreciation.
• Supervise regular accounting processes.
• Prepare financial statements, interim and annual reports of the company.
• Maintain and monitor fixed asset listing.
• Assists in the preparation of audit schedules for internal and external auditors.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned by management as special projects.
• Handle bank reconciliation and vendors / customers’ account reconciliation in SAP.
• Manage filing of tax returns and other regulatory requirements.

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant
• Familiar or experience with SAP is preferred
• Applicants must be willing to work in A.S Fortuna St. Mandaue City.
• Preferably experienced employees specializing in Finance-General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, MS Excel.
