They coordinate with suppliers, compare prices and quality, process purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure timely procurement while maintaining cost efficiency and inventory availability.The role also involves maintaining purchasing records, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and budget requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements
Purchasing Officer – QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or related field
Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management is an advantage
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Knowledgeable in supplier sourcing and purchasing procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Honest, reliable, and with good analytical skills
Experience in retail, bakery, or food industry is a plus
