PURCHASE OFFICER

• Obtains supplier quotations as required, notifies suppliers of engineering change to drawings /specifications and provides suppliers with forecast and open order information
• Ensure that all released Purchase Orders are sent to suppliers and are confirmed following the required turn-around time
• Establish and maintain a supplier base that supports the cost, delivery, quality and safety
• Manage supplier negotiations, key supplier relationships, and frame work agreements with suppliers
• Process purchase order requests
• Forward systematically all relevant procurement related project information

• Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
• Relevant educational background with an academic degree in Purchasing, Business Administration or Engineering.
• Self-motivating, and result oriented
• Able to communicate well and have good interpersonal skills
• An attitude to learn and improve knowledge about the industry (Pricing, trends, competitors)
• Familiarity with purchase orders
