The Senior Business Development Manager – Cosmetics is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and developing high-value partnerships within the beauty and personal care industry. This role leads end-to-end business development initiatives, identifies new revenue opportunities, and works closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to strengthen brand positioning and accelerate commercial performance.
Minimum 5-7 years of business development experience is required for this strategic role.
A Bachelor's degree is essential for this senior management position.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Business Development
- Develop and execute long-term business growth strategies for cosmetics and beauty product lines
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including retail, e-commerce, and international expansion
- Lead market entry strategies for new product launches and geographic expansion
- Partnership & Key Account Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key retailers, distributors, and strategic partners
- Negotiate high-value commercial agreements and long-term partnerships
- Manage relationships with major accounts, ensuring sustained revenue growth and satisfaction
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue targets across assigned product categories and regions
- Analyze sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with sales teams to optimize distribution channels and pricing strategies
- Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis
- Monitor beauty industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior
- Provide actionable insights to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Conduct feasibility studies for new product concepts and innovations
- Cross-functional Leadership
- Work closely with marketing teams to align brand positioning and campaigns with business goals
- Collaborate with product development teams on innovation pipelines
- Support supply chain and operations teams to ensure market demand is met efficiently
- Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and guide junior business development staff or coordinators
- Set performance targets and ensure alignment with company objectives
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5–8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management in cosmetics, beauty, or FMCG
- Strong understanding of the cosmetics and personal care industry landscape
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with retail, e-commerce, and international markets is an advantage
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience specifically within the cosmetics or beauty industry is required.
