Job Description

In the framework of IT service delivery, an Information Technology Service Management Assistant Manager is essential for coordinating IT services with business objectives, streamlining procedures, guaranteeing service quality, and promoting ongoing development.

To accomplish these goals, they collaborate closely with a range of teams, stakeholders, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Key Result Area

IT Service Delivery Management
  1. Manage the delivery of IT Services for the entire network (Head office, branches, and sub-agent locations)
  2. Design and develop IT Service delivery processes and tools that are consistent with ITIL standards and enable service quality management and measurement at all levels
IT Asset Management
  1. Manage the quantity and health of the company's IT assets
  2. Manage all incoming and outgoing inventory in both Head Office and company-owned branches.
IT Vendor Management
  1. Keeps an eye on vendor's adherence to their contractual duties and evaluates their performance using business standards.
  2. Maintains and updates assets database, keeping track of each asset'slife.
  3. Keeps up ties with vendor contacts, handles grievances, and updates senior management on the state of the relationship.
IT Patch Management
  1. Ensure the regular updating of software patches is applied to all IT assets.
  2. Assess and test the software update prior to deploying it into production.
IT Cost Management
  1. Control cost and budgets on IT systems
General Management
  1. Manage the IT Operations section, providing motivational leadership, support, and guidance necessary to forge a highly productive, well-respected team.
  2. Demonstrate business and financial acumen, ensuring the effective deployment of resources in order to deliver exceptional business results
  3. Complete planning, implementation, control, and audit of service provision, to meet business requirements
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • At least 5 years experience as IT Operations head or equivalent
  • Relevant working experience in the field of IT infrastructure, service desk, IT operations, Network management and Information Security.
  • ITIL certified. Experience in COBIT, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 is preferred.
  • Capacity to bridge the gap between the complexities of technology and the practical needs of the business.
  • Experience of planning, organizing, resourcing and managing IT Services organizations.
  • Ability to coach, direct and develop Information Technology professionals in a multicultural context.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, presenting highly technical issues verbally and in writing, to both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels in the organization.
