Supply chain manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory, or distribution management preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, procurement, and distribution operations
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and pharmaceutical compliance standards
• Experience in demand forecasting and supply chain analytics
• Proficient in ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the overall supply chain process from procurement to product delivery.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company sales and operational objectives.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing overstock and expiry risks.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, and Warehouse teams regarding product movement and supply requirements.
• Ensure timely replenishment and distribution of pharmaceutical products nationwide.
• Conduct demand forecasting and inventory planning based on sales trends, market movement, and customer requirements.
• Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, and obsolete inventories and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze stock turnover and recommend inventory optimization initiatives.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular reconciliation and cycle counts.
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers regarding purchase orders, shipment schedules, and delivery timelines.
• Evaluate supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, reliability, and compliance.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance for procurement and importation activities.
• Oversee warehouse operations, storage practices, and distribution processes.
• Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP), FDA regulations, and company quality standards.
• Implement systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce distribution costs.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance regarding product handling, recalls, and documentation requirements.
• Prepare supply chain reports, inventory analysis, forecasting reports, and operational performance metrics.
• Supervise and guide supply chain, warehouse and procurement personnel.
• Establish performance standards and monitor team productivity.
• Foster collaboration across departments to support company goals.
