Job Description

An Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for managing a company's outgoing payments, ensuring that supplier invoices, employee reimbursements, and other financial obligations are processed accurately and on time. The role helps maintain good vendor relationships and supports the organization's financial controls and reporting.

• Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices.
• Match invoices with purchase orders, contracts, and delivery receipts.
• Monitor accounts payable balances and payment schedules.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
• Generate accounts payable reports for management review.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage but often not required.

• Experience using accounting software and ERP systems is preferred.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
