As part of our continued partnership with one of our key clients, we’re hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our team.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate, timely, and commercially meaningful financial information to drive decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on SME role with exposure to management reporting, stock and margin analysis, and core finance operations.
Management Reporting- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy and ownership
- Support month-end close processes to ensure timely reporting
- Assist in preparing management reports and KPI analysis
- Support gross margin analysis by product, customer, and channel
- Assist with stock reconciliations and inventory reporting
- Support cost analysis including landed costs and supplier pricing reviews
- Provide financial insight to support sales and operational teams
- Assist in annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting
- Prepare variance analysis with clear commercial commentary
- Support cash flow forecasting
- Support purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations where required
- Assist with VAT returns and compliance reporting
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
- Assist with preparation for year-end accounts and audit requirements
- Studying towards ACCA or CIMA (part-qualified preferred)
- 2+ years’ experience in a finance or management accounting role
- Experience within an SME and/or product-based business is highly advantageous
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Understanding of stock accounting and margin analysis (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to work Australasian, North American, or UK shift hours
- Willingness to work in or relocate to Angeles City, Pampanga
Critical Requirement - Must NOT require training on fundamentals
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who already understands core accounting principles and can confidently perform month-end, reconciliations, journals, and reporting tasks from day one. We are looking for someone who can contribute immediately, not someone needing foundational training.
