Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the responsibilities detailed below. The Senior Accountant will assist with both Head Office and Asset level bookkeeping and financial management and will work closely with the Finance Manager and Asset level staff.
Key responsibilities:
Weekly- Preparation of bank reconciliations (3-5 transactions)
- Coordination of the fortnightly casual and part-time payroll (20 employees, timesheet
- Coordination of the fortnightly accounts payable process (10-15 transactions)
- Review of the staff expense reimbursements payable and coordination of payment and
Monthly
- Preparation of the recharge invoices from Head Office to the relevant Assets, including
month)
- Preparation of the monthly payroll tax lodgments for NSW, VIC, WA, SA and QLD
- Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the quarterly management accounts
- Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the quarterly board report
- Coordination of the quarterly superannuation lodgment through Employment Hero
- Preparation of the annual payroll tax reconciliations for NSW, VIC, WA, SA and QLD
- Assist with the preparation of information for the annual financial statement audit
- Assist with the preparation of information for the annual income tax return
- Assist with the preparation of the annual business plan and budget
Weekly
- Preparation of business transaction account bank reconciliations (4 entities, 5-10
- Preparation of trust account bank reconciliations (4 entities)
- Completion of tenant refunds from asset trust accounts (4 entities, 2-8 transactions)
- Coordination of the fortnightly accounts payable process (4 entities, 10-15 invoices),
- Preparation of the monthly distribution calculation for review by the Finance Manager (4
- Preparation of the monthly trust bank account documentation for review by the Finance
- Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the monthly asset reports including
- Preparation of the monthly asset reforecast model (4 entities)
- Preparation of debit card account bank reconciliations (4 entities, 20-40 transactions)
- Assist relevant staff members with the financial component of the annual trust account
- Assist with the preparation of the annual business plan and budget for each asset (4
On-going
- Maintenance of the COR Partners and Asset level Xero files
- Assisting the Finance Manager with the maintenance and management of the
implementing relevant legislative changes
- Coordination of the vendor verification for all suppliers
- Documentation of key processes related to finance function
- Assisting the Finance Manager with refining and improving financial processes and
implementing these changes across the business
Qualifications and requirements:
- 4-5 years of Experience with Accounting
- Competent in excel with demonstrated experience operating excel spreadsheets
- Payroll Experience Great to have
- GST experience required, BAS and IAS understanding would be great.
- Xero - Required
- Property Tree - Great to have
- Excel - Intermediate to Advanced Excel(Xlookup, Pvot Tables, Index Match)

- Approval Max - Nice to Have
Non-negotiable skills and requirements:
- CPA Preferred Only
- GST experience required
