About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Officer (Supervisory) to join Ayala Westgrove Heights Homeowners Association, Inc. in Silang, Cavite. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational excellence of our organisation.

As a supervisory-level accounting professional, you will oversee financial accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead a team of accounting staff. This role is essential to supporting our homeowners association's mission of providing quality community services whilst maintaining transparent and compliant financial management.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and manage the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and general ledger maintenance
Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, reports and reconciliations in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Oversee the timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain comprehensive accounting records
Lead, train, mentor and evaluate accounting staff to ensure compliance with established procedures and quality standards
Conduct account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity
Liaise with external auditors and prepare documentation required for audit activities
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
Monitor budgetary performance and provide financial analysis to support management decision-making
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations, tax requirements and homeowners association governance standards
Prepare reports and present financial information to management and the board of directors as required

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
A recognised professional accounting qualification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is highly desirable
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity
Proven expertise in financial accounting, reporting and reconciliation processes
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and best practices relevant to non-profit or homeowners association environments
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems; experience with computerised general ledger systems is essential
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop team members
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
High level of integrity, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Knowledge of homeowners association operations, governance and compliance requirements is advantageous
