Posted on 14 May 2025The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of goods to
clients. This role involves handling stock with care, maintaining precise records, and providing
excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to work
flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:- Delivery Operations
Review and verify the daily delivery schedule.
Safely transport and deliver stock items to clients on time. Load, secure, transport, and unload goods with care.
Confirm and cross-check deliveries against invoices or delivery receipts.
Obtain client signatures on delivery receipts and submit documentation promptly.
- Record-Keeping & Documentation
Ensure the accuracy of delivery records and invoices before dispatch.
Maintain organized records of delivered and undelivered items. Report any delivery discrepancies and manage returned stock properly.
Store undelivered items in the designated area and notify the appropriate personnel.
Prepare and submit daily trip reports.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance
Inspect the vehicle daily to ensure it is in proper working condition.
Report any maintenance issues and schedule necessary servicing. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Maintain the cleanliness and proper upkeep of the vehicle.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or Vocational/Short Course graduate.
Valid professional driver’s license (Restrictions 1, 2, or as required). Minimum of 2 years of experience in delivery operations or a related role.
Strong knowledge of traffic rules and safe driving practices with a clean driving record.
Ability to handle, transport, and unload stock items safely.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying deliveries.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime.
