Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Solar Design Engineer to join our team in the Philippines. The role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Candidates with less experience may be considered for junior-level positions, while those with advanced expertise will be evaluated for senior-level roles.

• System Design: Develop layouts, electrical schematics, and technical drawings for solar PV installations.
• Technical Analysis: Perform energy yield assessments, shading analysis, and system performance simulations.
• Compliance: Ensure designs meet local codes, safety standards, and utility requirements in the Philippines.
• Documentation: Prepare design reports, bill of materials, and project proposals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, installers, and clients to deliver efficient solutions.
• Innovation: Stay updated on solar technologies, inverters, and energy storage systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in solar PV design or electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or PV design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope).
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and renewable energy concepts.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to industry standards.

• 5+ years of proven experience in solar PV system design and engineering.
• Expertise in grid-tied and off-grid systems, including hybrid solutions with battery storage.
• Advanced proficiency in simulation tools and electrical design software.
• Strong understanding of Philippine electrical codes, utility interconnection processes, and permitting.
• Ability to lead junior engineers, review designs, and provide technical mentorship.
• Excellent project management and client communication skills.
