Woolworths Group (Australia and New Zealand’s largest retailer) launched Woolworths Market Plus (WMP) in October 2023. WMP is the coming together of three businesses (MyDeal, Bigw Market & Everyday Market).
WMP is a new platform for businesses to both sell and manage products across the Woolworths Group Marketplaces. A curated customer destination, bringing together a trusted ecosystem comprising three core banners: MyDeal, Everyday Market and BIG W Market.We have grown in the last year and now operate primarily across three hub locations: Manila, Melbourne & Sydney.
We are looking for a dedicated individual with a high attention to detail and strong communication skills to join us as an Operations Specialist in our Woolworths Market Plus Commercial team. The operations specialist is a conduit between the vendor, buying team, finance team and the multiple 3PLs that receive, store and fulfil online sales orders.
Working in a team, the operations specialist is responsible for three key areas:
- Procure to pay
- Inventory management
- Sales order management
Responsibilities
Data Integrity- Creation & maintenance of vendor details
- Creation and maintenance of product SKUs
- Create purchase orders & communicate to vendors
- Coordinate payments to vendors with accounts team
- Book delivery to the warehouse (3PL)
- Inform the warehouse of upcoming deliveries via ASN files
- Ensure receiving of inventory is completed in a timely manner
- Communicate and follow up surplus or shortages with the warehouse, vendor and buyer
- Ensure inventory in the ERP accurately reflects the inventory in the warehouse
- Query irregular adjustments with the 3PL
- Processing daily adjustments where required
- Ensure sales orders are flowing from multiple sales channels into the ERP and selected warehouse
- Critically follow up any delayed sales orders with the warehouse
- Communicate delayed orders and dispatch dates with the customer service team
- Assisting the customer service team with order cancellations
- Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite) highly advantageous
- Must be able to work in-office (no work from home option)
- Highly analytical and data focused
- Fastidious organisation and time management skills
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Can-do attitude: If it is meant to be, it is up to me
- Strong written and verbal communication
- An understanding of technical requirements surrounding e-commerce marketplaces is highly advantageous.
