NOC Engineer

This is a remote position.

SUMMARY

This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Monitor and manage network and system performance using N-Able.
• Respond to network and system alerts, identify causes, and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on network devices and systems.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and processes.
• Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Develop and implement network monitoring and optimization strategies.
• Assist in the deployment and configuration of new network devices and systems.

• Proven experience as a NOC Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with N-Able network management and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with the Windows patching side of N-Able
• Scripting/automation experience in N-Able RMM
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, SonicWall and servers.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are a plus.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with network security practices and tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
• Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.

• Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
• Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
