Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing a variety of financial and administrative tasks. This role ensures the accurate recording of financial transactions, maintains accounting records, assists in preparing financial reports, and helps ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
  • Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
  • Monitor and maintain petty cash records.
  • Prepare financial reports and schedules as assigned.
  • Assist in payroll processing and government statutory compliance, if required.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files and records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding billing, payments, and financial documentation.
  • Assist during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and government regulations.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; relevant work experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
