Role Purpose & Business Impact:
The Accounting Assistant (Hospitality) is a critical financial support role responsible for ensuring accurate transaction processing, reliable financial records, and timely reporting across NT Group’s multi-brand restaurant operations.
This position directly contributes to revenue protection, cash flow stability, cost control, and compliance by supporting disciplined accounting processes, maintaining data integrity, and enabling management to make informed decisions that enhance operational efficiency and guest experience sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Financial Recording & Reporting Support- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records in accordance with Company policies, GAAP principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, schedules, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents for financial reporting across restaurant brands and entities.
- Process Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring accurate documentation, proper approvals, and timely vendor payments.
- Assist in Accounts Receivable monitoring, billing validation, and collection tracking to support healthy cash flow.
- Perform bank, sales, and cash reconciliations to prevent revenue leakage and ensure data integrity.
- Support cash handling controls and daily sales reconciliation in coordination with Operations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax schedules, statutory reports, and supporting documents for BIR, SEC, and other regulatory submissions.
- Maintain organized records for audits, Letters of Authority (LOA), and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of tax payments and compliance-related transactions.
- Assist in tracking restaurant and F&B costs, including food, beverage, labor, and operating expenses.
- Support inventory audits and variance analysis in coordination with Operations and Procurement teams.
- Help identify discrepancies, losses, or inefficiencies that may impact profitability.
- Comply with internal controls, financial policies, and standard accounting procedures.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in approved accounting systems.
- Support process improvements by maintaining organized documentation, schedules, and audit trails.
- Work closely with Accounting Managers, Finance team members, and Operations to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide timely financial data, schedules, and reports to support management reviews and decision-making.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned to support departmental efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is an advantage but not required.
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of relevant accounting or finance experience; experience in the F&B or hospitality industry is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Basic understanding of financial reporting, AP/AR processes, and cost control principles.
- Experience supporting tax compliance, audits, or multi-entity accounting is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in handling financial data.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
