Overview
A fast-growing freight brokerage is hiring a Logistics Coordinator to support daily operations and ensure smooth handling of both LTL (Less Than Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) shipments. The company works with a wide range of customers and carriers, requiring accurate quoting, booking, and documentation to keep freight moving efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing shipment information. You’ll be handling quotes, booking carriers, sending paperwork, and tracking shipments, while communicating clearly and professionally with both carriers and the internal team.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and send LTL quotes accurately and promptly
- Reach out to TL carriers regarding available freight and secure FTL capacity when needed
- Source trucks to cover available loads by making/receiving calls with carriers, negotiating rates when needed, and booking the load once secured
- Send rate confirmations to carriers and confirm acceptance of loads
- Generate and send Bills of Lading (BOLs) for shipments
- Enter shipment details into the company’s TMS (Transportation Management System) with accuracy and attention to liability-sensitive notes
- Track carrier/driver updates and communicate changes as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Support the operations team with accurate, timely information flow
- Flag any issues with quotes, carriers, or shipments for management review
- Follow established SOPs while adapting to evolving business needs
- 3+ years of professional experience in an administrative, coordination, or logistics-related role
- At least 2 years of experience supporting U.S.-based companies
- Strong English skills; confident, clear, and professional phone presence
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Attention to detail, especially with documentation and liability-sensitive shipment notes
- Ability to Type 25 WPM Minimum
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
- Prior experience in freight brokerage, trucking, or dispatching
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Familiarity with TMS platforms, load boards (DAT, Truckstop), or CRM software
- Negotiation experience with carriers
- Experience with modern AI software tools for business processes
