ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE (Night Shift)- SBA

The Junior Accounts Payable Specialist provides support to the Finance team by processing daily transactions, managing international wire payments, maintaining accurate accounts payable records, and assisting with audits and month-end activities.

• Review invoices for appropriate documentation, budget authority, coding accuracy, and approval prior to payment.
• Prepare invoices for payment processing.
• Prepare and process electronic international wire transfers and payments.
• Prepare and perform check runs.
• Download canceled checks from the bank and update the bank reconciliation module.
• Manage weekly business expense activity and upload transactions between Accounts Payable systems.
• Download ACH and wire payments from the bank and code them to appropriate GL accounts.
• Complete monthly reconciliations of flex fund accounts against bank statements.
• Prepare balance sheet account analyses.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain professional communication.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Support 1099 maintenance and annual reporting.
• Maintain files and documentation accurately in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with financial information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a member association or coordination network.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
• Experience with Sage ERP accounting software is a plus.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
