• 3 to 5 years of underwriting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Strong underwriting mindset with the ability to assess risk factors effectively; prior MCA underwriting experience is an advantage
• Experience working with gig economy income structures or familiarity with gig platforms is a plus
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail when evaluating financial statements and income patterns
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple applications simultaneously
• Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Familiarity with Infinity software is preferred but not required
• Willingness to work onsite on a night shift schedule in a fast-paced, startup-like environment where adaptability is essential

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze MCA applications, including bank statements, ACH transactions, and other financial documentation
• Validate income sources and distinguish between consumer and gig economy income streams
• Assess applicants' financial stability and ensure compliance with internal underwriting guidelines
• Provide well-documented underwriting decisions supported by data-driven analysis

• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for enhancing underwriting processes and evaluation criteria
• Stay informed on market trends and developments within the gig economy to strengthen underwriting practices
• Recommend and support the implementation of innovative risk assessment and applicant evaluation strategies

• Communicate with applicants to explain MCA products, underwriting requirements, and approval processes
• Educate customers on required documentation and assist with gathering materials needed for application review
• Maintain professional communication while addressing inquiries, providing updates, and resolving concerns efficiently

• Maintain accurate and organized records of underwriting decisions, customer interactions, and process outcomes
• Generate regular reports on underwriting metrics and lead validation performance
• Document trends, observations, and findings to provide actionable insights to leadership

• Demonstrate urgency while maintaining a high level of accuracy in underwriting decisions
• Process applications within tight turnaround times, with a goal of rendering decisions within two to three minutes of application receipt
