Housekeeping Supervisor

Job description:

• Maintains quality standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation in all areas
• Conducts regular inspection of housekeeping’s areas of responsibility - checking the quality of cleaning; ensuring that all areas are free from safety hazards and; checking if anything needs repair or corrective measures.
• Ensures that fixtures and furniture are in their rightful places
• Monitors and supervises the proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies
• Checks and maintains par stock requirements & supervises regular inventory of cleaning supplies and other Housekeeping items including linens and guestroom supplies.
• Reports to management all unusual incidents and accidents
• Conducts regular inspection of makeup rooms – ensures that standard room amenities are in place; rooms are free of safety hazards; checks if there is anything that needs repair or corrective action.
• Ensures the proper use, storage, and maintenance of linens and cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies
• Coordinates closely with the Front Office regarding room status and changes of bookings and other guests’ requirements
• Monitors the daily preparation of rooms blocked for arriving guests and other requirements, like extra beds, extra towels, etc
• Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM)
• Can work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Time management and organizational skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skill
• Good team player and able to work with different level of people.
• Displays a high level of integrity, attention to details and continuous customer service improvement
• Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
