 A.  Service Delivery

• Minimum 2,000 blood collection in a quarter.
• Minimum 4 extra/holiday duties

• Minimum 74 mobile blood donation attended.
• Attend to walk in and patient-directed VNRBD and clients with request for

• Promotes voluntary blood donation among clients (patients, relatives, etc.)
• Evaluates authenticity of donor’s

• Registers and screens blood donors in accordance with standard operating

• Explaining the pre-donation procedure.
• Gathers demographic data and takes medical history.
• Makes an initial assessment of whether or not to accept/defer blood

donors.

• Provides donor care before, during and after blood extraction.
• Ensures the donor is comfortable.
• Observes for donor reaction during and after blood donation and applies immediate measures in cases of untoward reactions including referral to the medical officer, when necessary.
• Applies aseptic technique procedures in blood extraction
• Ensures refreshments are given post donation.
• Gives pre- and post-donation care to successful blood donors.

• Prepares report on blood collection in the office or MBD, according to blood type, amount and blood bag used.

• Encourage donors to donate regularly

• Daily encoding of Blood Donor Interview Sheet (BDIS).
• Submits reports (ISO, BM Reports, Daily Reports) on a timely manner.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned by superiors.
• Compliances with SOPs.
• Ensures zero customer complaint.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Registered Medical Technologist
• With or without work experience, fresh board passers are encouraged to apply
• Willing to work onsite at Rizal.
• Can start as soon as possible

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Registered Medical Technologist/Laboratory Technician
• Must have one-month experience in blood extraction in blood bank setting.
• At least one-month voluntary service in Philippine Red Cross

EQUIPMENT USED:

Blood mixers, blood bag sealers, computer, scanner, printer, copier, telephone, fax machine, weighing scale, and blood bank refrigerator
