ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Site Architect/Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end management of construction and infrastructure development projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
This role leads project execution across planning, design coordination, contractor management, and post-construction maintenance, while supporting various organizational programs and stakeholders.
The position plays a key role in supervising project teams, coordinating with contractors and partners, and ensuring that all infrastructure initiatives align with organizational goals on sustainability, innovation, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of construction projects
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Oversee cost estimates, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure financial efficiency
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering designs; assist in resolving design conflicts
- Supervise contractors, suppliers, and service providers across project milestones
- Implement quality assurance and quality control processes, including inspections and testing
- Ensure adherence to Construction Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (COSHE) standards
- Integrate sustainability and innovation strategies into project planning and execution
- Manage contracts, including scope definition, risk identification, and compliance monitoring
- Oversee operations and maintenance planning for completed infrastructure projects
- Lead and supervise team members, ensuring performance, productivity, and alignment with goals
- Support stakeholder coordination, meetings, and project reporting
- Participate in emergency response efforts as part of the Damage Assessment Team
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Certification- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Licensed Architect or Engineer (required)
- At least 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure development, or project management
- Experience in supervising construction projects and managing contractors
- Background in community development, CSR, or NGO work is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of:
- Construction project management processes
- Quality assurance and quality control standards
- Cost estimation, quantity surveying, and budgeting
- Architectural and engineering design interpretation
- Familiarity with construction software and digital tools for design and planning
- Understanding of COSHE standards and safety compliance
- Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes
- Background in building operations and maintenance systems
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Willing to work in a hybrid environment (office and field-based)
