The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all construction, renovation, and fit-out projects for the company's branches, commissaries, warehouses, and other facilities.
The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and local building requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management- Manage the end-to-end construction process for new store openings, renovations, expansions, and facility upgrades.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved according to approved timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and resolve construction issues, delays, and risks.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety standards and building codes.
- Prepare cost estimates and review project budgets.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate project costs.
- Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-control measures.
- Source, evaluate, and manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review contracts, scopes of work, and project deliverables.
- Ensure contractors meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Ensure all permits, licenses, and government approvals are secured before project implementation.
- Coordinate with local government units and regulatory agencies regarding construction requirements.
- Ensure construction and fit-out works meet company standards for bakery operations, food safety requirements, and customer experience.
- Conduct punch listing, project turnover, and final acceptance inspections.
- Provide regular project status updates to management.
- Prepare project completion reports, budget summaries, and risk assessments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Licensed Engineer or Architect is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in retail, food service, restaurant operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar project management tools.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
