ASSISTANT PLANT OPERATOR
Working under the Supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the assistant plant operator works by helping in the supervision and control of the storage and distribution of gas. Common duties include – monitoring equipment, observing temperature, pressure, level and flow gauges, controlling compressor, evaporator, scrubber, and refrigeration equipment, cleaning and maintaining and repairing equipment, recording data and other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements- Education: High school diploma, GED, or a vocational trade school certificate.
- Aptitude: Strong mechanical reasoning and basic math skills for calculating flow rates and pressures.
- Computer Literacy: Ability to use basic software and learn computerized plant control systems and excel.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in noisy industrial environments.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotating shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Background: A valid driver's license and the ability to pass standard drug screenings and background checks.
