We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and ensure the timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods, and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing all aspects of purchasing from ordering to delivery.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for various goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure favorable terms.
- Maintain strong relationship with suppliers for quality assurance and reliability.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with the hotel’s and casino’s operational goal.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand their specific purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Prepare and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring spending aligns with financial targets.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of received goods.
- Generate reports on purchasing activities, inventory status, and supplier performance.
- Analyze market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Supervise and train purchasing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the purchasing team.
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, ensuring continuity of operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relative field such as business, accounting, engineering or logistics, preferable with Supply Chain Management experience
- A master’s degree is an advantage which can demonstrate advanced knowledge and help with promotions
- With at least 5 years managerial experience in the hotel industry and casino.
