About the role
Select Goods is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Service Crew/Cashiers to join our dynamic hospitality team in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring smooth operational efficiency.As a Service Crew/Cashier, you will be the face of Select Goods, responsible for both front-of-house service and point-of-sale transactions. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied with their experience at our establishment.
Key responsibilities- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and seat them in appropriate locations
- Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff
- Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Handle cash and card transactions at the point-of-sale with accuracy and integrity
- Process refunds, exchanges and special requests in accordance with company policies
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, pricing and current promotions to assist customers with recommendations
- Clear and reset tables promptly between services
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary
- Support team members during peak service periods to maintain efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the dining and till areas
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service or retail environments, preferably as a service crew member or cashier
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with diverse customers
- Strong numeracy skills and experience handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining composure under pressure
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and hygiene
- Team player mentality with willingness to support colleagues
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry items safely
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
