Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network performance KPIs (e.g., throughput, latency, call drop rates, accessibility).
- Perform radio/network optimization for 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and/or 5G networks.
- Identify coverage gaps, interference issues, and capacity constraints; propose and implement solutions.
- Conduct drive tests and analyze results using industry tools.
- Optimize parameters such as handovers, neighbor relations, power settings, and frequency planning.
- Collaborate with RF planning, operations, and field teams to improve network quality.
- Generate performance reports and provide actionable insights.
- Support new site integration and network expansion activities.
- Troubleshoot network issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Stay updated with evolving telecom technologies and optimization techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in telecom network optimization (experience level can be adjusted).
- Strong understanding of cellular technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G).
- Experience with optimization and drive test tools (e.g., TEMS, Nemo, Actix, or similar).
- Knowledge of RF principles, propagation models, and network architecture.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (Excel, scripting, or analytics tools is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience working with major telecom vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei).
- Familiarity with OSS tools and performance monitoring systems.
- Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, SQL) for automation and analysis.
- Certification in telecom or network optimization is an advantage.
