BOOKKEEPER

Salary: ₱14,000 – ₱15,000
Job Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete financial records of Dream High English Academy Inc. (DHEA), including tuition fees, collections, expenses, payroll support, payables, immigration-related student fees (SSP and Visa), and financial reporting.The role ensures financial transparency, proper documentation, and compliance with school policies and applicable regulations. The Bookkeeper will coordinate closely with the General Manager, Academic, and Admin teams, and will support coordination with DHEA's retained external CPA when required.
Qualifications- Graduate of Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related course
- At least 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience in a school or educational institution is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets; knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) is a plus
- Highly organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
- Able to handle confidential financial information with discretion
- Company Accounts and Payment Management
- Maintain ledgers for tuition fees, SSP and Visa payments (immigration-related student fees), penalties, payables, and outstanding balances
- Record daily collections (cash, bank transfer, and online payments)
- Monitor unpaid balances and coordinate with the Admin team for follow-ups
- Collections, Cash & Bank Management
- Record and monitor daily income and expenses
- Perform weekly cash counts and monthly bank reconciliations
- Ensure timely deposit of collections and proper recording of receipts
- Manage petty cash and monitor liquidation of school funds
- Accounts Payable & Expenses
- Record school operating expenses, supplier payments, and staff reimbursements
- Verify completeness and accuracy of supporting documents (receipts, invoices, and management approvals)
- Track recurring expenses such as rent, utilities, internet, and subscriptions
- Payroll & Staff-Related Support
- Assist in payroll preparation by recording salaries, allowances, deductions, and cash advances
- Maintain payroll-related records and support management in payroll reporting
- Track and process staff-related reimbursements and liquidations
- Reporting & Management Support
- Prepare regular financial reports, including:
- Monthly income and expense summary
- Tuition collection summaries
- Cash flow reports
- Provide clear and accurate financial data to management to support decision-making
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring as directed by the General Manager
- Documentation, Controls & Compliance
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with school policies and internal controls
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records for audit and reference
- Assist during internal reviews, audits, or coordination with DHEA's external CPA
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of all financial information
- Coordination & Administrative Support
- Coordinate with Admin and Academic teams on financial matters
- Support preparation of financial documents for suppliers and partners
- Perform other bookkeeping or finance-related tasks as assigned by management
