ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
Role Summary
This position oversees daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company policies and accounting standards. This role supervises a team of accounting staff, supports financial reporting, and ensures timely completion of all accounting activities.Working closely with management, the Accounting Supervisor helps maintain reliable financial records, effective internal controls, and compliance with PFRS, particularly PFRS 17.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
- Review journal entries, schedules, and supporting documents prepared by the accounting team.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with PFRS.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting deadlines.
- Monitor and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with auditors and external consultants during audits and financial reviews.
- Provide guidance, training, and feedback to accounting staff to strengthen team performance.
- Support management with accurate financial data and operational insights for decision-making.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.
- CPA preferred, but non-CPAs are welcome to apply.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role (Senior Accountant, Team Lead, or Supervisor).
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS); expertise in PFRS 17 is highly desirable.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Full onsite, day shift and based in Makati City
