Accounting Officer | Night Shift and Onsite

We are looking for a long-term employee who can provide stability and reliability as an ACCOUNTING OFFICER within our Accounting and Finance team.

This position reports to the Accounting/Finance Manager and the ideal candidate will be responsible for several functional areas within the finance team, including full cycle accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries across multiple entities.

Moreover, the candidate will have to adapt to an ever-changing business model as well as help prepare financial reports and account reconciliations within a growing e-commerce business.

The candidate must have extensive private industry and transactional experience along with the maturity to handle a dynamic environment with deadlines. This role is well-suited for somebody who easily handles pressure and prides themselves on quality and accountability.

The candidate must have the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full cycle accounting duties with day-to-day journal entries across multiple currencies (CAD, USD, GBP, and EUR) and multiple subsidiaries.
  • Accounts Payable - Processing and posting supplier invoices to the accounting system.
  • Accounts Receivable - Customer invoicing including inputting monthly invoices from ecommerce channels and reconciling to payouts.
  • Reconciling bank and credit card transactions.
  • Confirming the accuracy of incoming shipments/packing slips and corresponding data entry.
  • Raw material and inventory reconciliation.
  • Processing and posting customer payments to customers’ accounts.
  • Experience with month-end closing processes including accruals, prepayments, and basic management reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
  • At least 3 (+)years of experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Excellent MS Excel skills; Top-notch with numbers and eagle-eyed attention to detail.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written English Communication Skills
  • A can-do attitude and a self-starter that doesn't need a lot of supervision
  • Fast learner & highly trainable with good analytical skills
  • Good problem solver & with a Positive attitude, outgoing, helpful, team-player attitude
  • Detail and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • Flexible with the tasks that will be assigned especially on the client's need
  • Must be willing to work onsite, graveyard shift, and holidays when needed
  • Can start immediately
