ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Senior Supply Chain Manager at WalterMart Supermarket, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's logistics and distribution strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of products to WalterMart's network of supermarkets.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize inventory management, transportation, and distribution
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, merchandising and finance teams to align supply chain processes with business objectives
- Oversee the management of third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and reliable product delivery
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Analyze supply chain data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement
- Manage and lead a team of supply chain professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to support their development
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably in the retail or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
- Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proficient in using supply chain management software and data analysis tools
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred
- Willing to work onsite (based in Quezon City) and visit warehouse/depot located in Muntinlupa, Pampanga & Cavite, with a 48-hr workweek schedule
