About the role
We are seeking an experienced Radio Frequency Engineer to join our dynamic team at Knowles Electronics (Philippines) Corporation. In this full-time position, based in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, you will play a crucial role in the design, development and testing of radio frequency systems and components.As a key member of our Electronics Engineering department, you will contribute to the innovation and excellence that drive our industry-leading products.
What you'll be doing- Design and develop custom RF components based on input from customers and internal management. Designs will be based on thin film distributed element technology.
- Work directly with customers on custom designs to come up with the optimal solution for a given request.
- Perform data analysis on production parts to determine root cause failures and help improve RF designs.
- Perform 3D finite element simulations to design new RF components such as filters, multiplexers, couplers, power dividers, gain equalizers and oscillators.
- Work with other RF Engineers and operations to assist in statistical analysis and data collection.
- Assist in new product development and datasheet generation.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Radio Frequency Engineer in the electronics industry
- Must speak fluent English and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to travel to the United States to conduct onsite technical training.
- Must have relevant course work in RF/Microwave Fundamentals, Electromagnetics, Analog Circuits, etc.
- Strong Computer Skills, including the ability to quickly learn new design software.
- Experience with electromagnetic simulations tools such as SONNET, AWR, Genesis, HFSS, CST is a plus.
- Proven expertise in designing, simulating and testing RF circuits and systems
- Strong understanding of RF principles, including impedance matching, filtering, and signal integrity
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical information effectively
