What is the job?

The Immigration Legal Assistant is responsible in supporting U.S. immigration law case management by assisting with application preparation, tracking deadlines, managing client information, and providing superior client-facing communication.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare family-based, naturalization, consular, asylum, work authorization, and advance parole applications using Docketwise.
• Draft simple motions and compile evidence packets for Immigration Court hearings.
• Use templates for cover sheets, proof of service, and table of contents for filings.
• Monitor case status, respond to client inquiries, and provide updates regularly.
• Track deadlines, hearings, and biometrics appointments; update project management software.
• Conduct preliminary client intakes, answer calls, maintain confidential case files, and submit trust requests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a paralegal.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
