Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant provides support to the accounting department by performing basic bookkeeping and clerical duties. This role ensures that financial records are accurate, up to date, and properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and files.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries.
- Input financial data into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Help with payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or currently pursuing one).
- Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
