Role Overview:

This business-critical role oversees and manages business development, sales, and financial performance. It is responsible for managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring profitability across projects and business activities.

The role develops and implements commercial strategies, manages project budgets, and serves as a key link between operational functions and commercial objectives to drive sustainable growth and business success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including acquisitions and market expansion.
  • Negotiating favourable terms with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in tender processes
  • Review property lease agreements
  • Prepare presentations for the executive team
  • Participate in annual commercial renewal processes – including insurance , property and banking requirements
  • Overseeing budgets, expenses, and pricing strategies to ensure projects remain financially viable.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential commercial risks associated with projects and initiatives.
  • Monitoring project progress, ensuring deadlines are met, and resolving any commercial issues that arise.
  • Analysing sales, marketing, and financial data to identify areas for improvement and growth.

Primary WHS Responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all WHS instructions provided by the PCBU and their supervisor.
  • Cooperate with WHS policies and procedures that have been communicated to them.

  • Take reasonable care to ensure the safety of others in the workplace.
  • Participate in health and safety training and comply with safety procedures

  • Accurate analysis of data
  • 100% meeting of time frames

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, or equivalent.

Relevant Work Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) within the logistics, transportation, or comparable sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract management and commercial law, supported by previous experience working with Australian business operations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills and financial acumen.
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal attributes.
  • Strong attention to detail and high-level accuracy.
  • Ability to identify and prioritise requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft suite and Excel reporting skills.
  • Reliability and flexibility.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Advanced Computer skills in Excel, Document Writing and PowerPoint skills
