US Human Resources Specialist (Benefits)
Position Description:
The US Human Resource Specialist - will be responsible for delivering HR services on the assigned processes to multiple countries as defined on the agreed Key Performance Indicators.
US Human Resource Specialist will handle enquiries and requests sent by managers, partners and non- partners using HR Service Center tool. He / She will process moderate to complex requests, which require analysis, further work around, and procedure that could be an exception to the work instructions.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Contribute towards SLA attainment by logging in to take calls as required during staffing and/or SLA challenges.
- Ensure that set objectives are met as defined on the agreed performance metrics
- Provide support to the Manager and Team Leads on investigating service delivery issues.
- Administer and manage employee termination and benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, disability, and other voluntary benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding termination and benefits inquiries, claims, and resolutions.
- Oversee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage leave administration including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other US statutory leaves.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth benefits delivery and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws related to benefits and leave.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and prepare regular reports for HR leadership.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes with benefits orientation and terminations.
- Assist with benefits communication campaigns and employee education initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in benefits regulations and recommend improvements to programs.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in US or HR Shared Services employee benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of US Termination process and US benefits laws and regulations including FMLA, etc.
- Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems (Oracle and Peoplesoft HR).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Above average oral and written communication
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Willingness to work in shifts
