Job description:
Occupational Health and Wellness:
- Administer annual physical exam (APE) onsite or offsite (branches)
- Maintains updated medical records of all employees
- Organize the random drug test in the main office as well with the branches
- Communicates all medical exam results to the concerned employees and HR for proper guidance.
- Administers first aid treatment to employees as needed
- Coordinate with Health Physician and dispenses medicines to employees with common illnesses as deemed necessary
- Provide appropriate health support to all employees to further enhance wellness and prevent illness
- Develops and Ensures implementation of Health and Wellness Programs for the company's employees and Agency partners (Aligned with the Department of Health’s and DOLE’s initiatives) such as Lectures and Training and other activities (Bloodletting, Wellness activities, Consultation, etc.)
- Monitors activities of the First Aider such as inventory, monitoring of expiration and replenishment of required medicines and items inside the first aid kit as well as conduct of basic medical emergency support.
- Coordinates safety training programs and engagement activities to all employees and 2nd party employees in all offices and warehouse sites.
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure corrective and preventive measures are undertaken as well as controls and barriers are put in place.
- Investigates, analyses, and reviews all HSSE incidents and accidents as per procedure and policies. For incident, major focus is on high potential near misses and unsafe practices within the area. Accident reporting shall be according to the define framework and local regulations.
- Conduct post incident reviews for all high potential incidents as a minimum, share findings with Compliance Manager.
- Drives and follow ups HSSE regular local compliance programs and activities such as but not limited to audit/ testing / drill exercises and processes for facilities and vendors to ensure adequate performance. Maintain evidence and share with all stakeholders.
- Conducts HSSE induction/ orientation to all newly hired employees as well as newly onboarded 3rd party vendors for operations such as but not limited to truckers, brokers, heavy lift equipment provider etc. and 2nd party personnel such as security personnel and agency hired employees.
- Monitors and analyses Occupational Health & Safety dashboards/KPIs including data generated from Safety Connect program. Submits monthly reports and analysis to Compliance Manager.
- Monitors completion of monthly worksite inspections by designated Safety Officers and closure of the action plans as a result of the inspections.
- Submits regular OSH related reports to Dept. of Labor (DOLE) and other applicable government agencies.
- Organizes monthly HSSE Committee meeting and submits minutes of the meeting to all committee members and all Head of Department (HOD).
- Initiates HSSE facility assessment for new offices and warehouses and submits the assessment reports to all stakeholders.
Other Compliance Regulations:
- Ensure that all the HSE legal requirements are fulfilled such as ECC, CNC, LLDA, etc. and coordinate with respective stakeholders
- Ensures there are appointed and accredited Pollution Control Officers (as applicable) and Safety Officers appointed in all sites.
- Monitors the timely submission of all DENR-EMB & LLDA related reports by Pollution Control Officer.
- Assists in conducting on-site QHSE subcontractor’s audits as part of the vendor accreditation and/or performance assessment.
- Conducts internal QHSE audit as part of the Internal Audit team.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Passed the Licensure Exam for Nurses, with a valid PRC license.
- Certified Internal Auditor of EMS14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 requirements.
- With training in Basic Occupational Safety and Health for Nurses (conducted by OHNAP). • At least Safety Officer level 2 (SO2) for at least 3 years related work experience.
- Can create email broadcasts and training modules on occupational health and safety.
- Articulate in using the English language/writing.
- With at least 2-years of experience as an Occupational Health Nurse
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge in Basic Life Support and First Aid Management.
- Familiar with DOLE Occupational Health and Safety Standards and Policies.
- Professional working attitude.
- Minimal supervision to complete tasks.
- Highly trainable and approachable.
- Ability to conduct training and seminars.
- Knowledge on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
